Plain English first: we collect your email and first name so we can tell you when Handled. opens, and later your dinners and products so the app can work. We never ask for, see, or store your Walmart password. We don't sell your information. Analytics on this website set no cookies.

Who we are

Handled. is a dinner-planning app made in Kansas, USA. Until the company is formed, it is operated by its founder. Contact: hello@handleddinner.com.

What we collect on the waitlist

• Your email address and, if you give it, your first name.
• The answer to "Where did you hear about us?"
• If you arrived through a creator or campaign link, the code in that link (for example ?via= or utm_ tags), so we can credit the right person.
• Basic technical details: which form you used, your browser type, and the time of signup.

We send one confirmation email first. Nothing else goes out until you confirm.

What we collect in the app (from launch)

• Your account: email, name, sign-in method, the household you belong to and the other adult you invite.
• Your dinners, the products you pick for them, your store choice, and each week's ticked list. This is the product; it's yours and you can export or delete it.
• Purchases: plan, dates and receipts. Card numbers are handled by Stripe, never stored by us.
• Help messages you send, with the app version, device type and your current week's list so we can actually help.

How we use it

• To run the app and send your weekly list to the Walmart cart link you tap.
• To email you when Handled. opens and, if you want, the occasional update. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• To count signups and see where people hear about us.
• To pay creators who referred you, if a referral code was attached.
• To fix problems: error reports and, on the app, session recordings with every form field masked.

What we never do

• Ask for or store your Walmart (or any retailer) password or account login.
• Sell or rent your information, or use it for advertising profiles.
• Share it with anyone except the services below that help us run Handled.

Services that handle data for us

• Google Firebase (hosting, database, sign-in; USA).
• Kit (email) sends the confirmation and launch emails once connected.
• Stripe (payments) from launch.
• Sentry (error reports) and PostHog (analytics; cookieless on this website, masked recordings in the app), once enabled.

Cookies and local storage

This website sets no analytics cookies. It uses browser storage to remember a referral code for 60 days and to stop a form being submitted twice. The app uses a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in. There is no advertising tracking. If we ever run paid ads with tracking pixels, they will sit behind a consent banner you can decline.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from any email with the link at the bottom.
• Delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, or email help@handleddinner.com from the address you signed up with. We delete within 30 days.
• Ask for a copy of your data the same way.

Children

Handled. is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we email you before it takes effect.
