Accessibility
Last updated October 14, 2026.
Dinner is for everyone, so Handled. is built to be usable by everyone. This website and the app aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA.
What that means here
- Every text and background pair meets AA contrast. Small text never sits on our red or yellow without a darker colour.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring.
- Every form field has a label; every image that matters has alt text; decoration is hidden from screen readers.
- Touch targets are at least 44 pixels. Text can be enlarged to 200% without breaking the layout.
- Motion is kept to a minimum and respects your "reduce motion" setting.
How we check
Every release is run through automated checks (Lighthouse, axe) and a manual keyboard and screen-reader pass on the pages that changed. Scores are recorded in our changelog.
Tell us
If something is hard to use, email help@handleddinner.com with the page and what happened. Accessibility problems go to the front of the fix list.
